Built in 1906 by Beechings, the famous lifeboat builders of Gt. Yarmouth, to join a local fleet of 60 shrimpers. These handy craft worked the treacherous offshore sand banks east of Yarmouth. Shrimps for the summer tourists were the main catch, but Dover Soles and other flat fish were also landed.

HORACE & HANNAH worked out of Gt. Yarmouth until about 1957 when she was sold to Essex. By good fortune, and a lot of hard work by Graham and Dan Hussey, she was rebuilt back to original sailing and fishing condition in 1987. Her meticulous restoration makes her one of the only true examples of her type.
