The Cock of the Colne was traditionally given to the first smack home going back to the late 1800’s and was a golden cockerel on a pole that was hoisted to the top of the mast – our cockerel replicates that. It was presented by Courages Brewery as a Golden Cockerel was their symbol.

The King Colne cup was named after a customs officer, Mr King, which he had donated to the CSPS. He had won it for swimming!

They are awarded to the 1st smack home.
